Well sporterized Enfields

This be my No 4 sporter build in .32-40 Win that is uber fun to plop pest critters and to plink with. (I love the older British sporters, but me older eyes don't
go for the barrel mounted rear sights.) She wears Bishop stocks, a McGowen 24" barrel cut to me specs & is fixed using a Brewer type barrel nut. Fitted
a Huber trigger on 'er to boot. The scope be a Bushnell Elite 2-7x32 unit.

That is facking ###y Sir :O

Does anyone know of a stock carver who could do a semi-finished one piece stock?
I have a project grade SMLE receiver (one trigger guard lug is squashed), that would be a good starting point. But I'm not interested in whittling a stock out of a blank.

Doesnt Boyds make semi finished gun stocks that can be adapted to almost any rifle?

Here’s one one my favourite Lee Enfield .303s

Hi folks, I am trying to find out a bit of information on a .303 Lee Enfield #1 Mark III that I recently acquired. It is unique in that the gunsmith removed the wrist on the action and then made a one piece stock for it. The work was very well done. When I contacted Dr. Nicholas A. Harlow with Purdy he felt strongly that the work was done in North America. if anyone could help shed some light on who the gunsmith might have been or any other info on the gun I would appreciate it

I can't seem to post pictures but if you PM me I will get some to you.

I am NOT a collector or shooter of L.E.'s but I have 1 nice sporter & 1 nice original Long Branch #4, among all the other stuff.
All Canadian gun people should have @ least 1 LE & 1 Cooey.

BSA and EAL

I was told the BSA butt stock was modified by the original owner, a very old lady who owned it as a teenager.

I think this stock was a Bishop stock from back in the day? Not sure why the original owner left the slight barrel over hang but a real nice vintage job on finishing it regardless and love the blind mag
