I would have to say these are my favourites.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT !!! They certainly would be mine too, if they existed in the far east !! They wouldn't be able to burrow into the granite that we built on..LOL

I have gone to places like Tim Hortons or McDonalds and asked for their old plastic advertising signs and used the back for targets as its white.

With my mk1 eyeballs these days I like using the Shoot n See targets,and the odd water filled plastic bottle...

works at 300 and 250 with standard velocity 22. Inside that a blade starts getting beat up pretty badly

Talk about a target that just SHINES with rimfires. I use 22LR every time, but 17HMR gets more than a few laughs. If you've done it, you probably don't need to ask what I mean by that. lol

I agree they are super reactive when hit with the 17 HMR and snow gophers leave nice red spots on the snow

Yes .17hmr is spectacular on gophers

I echo the sentiments of all the gopher shooters out there, but for shooting with the kids at the range balloons were always good. Also cheap suckers/lollypops from the dollar store. They shatter like glass and dissolve with the weather.

All of my 22's are tested at 100 yards/metres.
Any target will do whether shooting for groups or score.
A Tikka T1X is my gopher gun, sighted in at 100 yards with CCI SV and Blazer are both just over 1".
Then I play with the various stadia as the distances change.
The scope is a SIG Buckmaster 4-16 x 44 with a side focus.

Election signs make great target back-stops, provincial or federal signs all work well.

And we don't discriminate, Liberal, NDP, Green-party, or even Conservative signs work.

I prefer the first three though!....... LOL
