What .45 aside from a 1911 would fit my requirement list?

Ok, I have plenty 1911's, the only i didn't try was the S&W 1911 and anything above $2000
Now I'd like to have a "modern" Semi auto,too...
45ACP Only!
4.5 to 6" barrel
Trigger 4.5lbs or less (even if it's DA...)
10 round capacity would be nice.
Polymer or half/half or full metal- as long as it is reliable and you can get parts for it.
Price range: 1300 and less (used is okay)
HK? SIG? or would even Glock fit the bill? Or What else?
Please comment only on guns you own or have at least shot to some extend.

For a couple hundred bucks more you could get the FNX tactical. This is the only non 1911 that I own, I've own most guns and calibers out there and the 1911 has always been my favorite. The fnx is a close second, once you get the trigger reset down she's a dream.

I'm certainly fond of my CZ 97B!! Lots of capacity being a double stack and quite slim with the aluminum grips. Accurate and without a hiccup....

FN FNX, I prefer the non tactical version, or a SIG P220 (or a P220 Match SAO if you can find one).

sig p227 is a good option on the steel/alloy side. I prefer the feel of the single stack p220 myself, but the 227 gives you the 10 rounds you are after.

This would be my recommendation. I have the same FNX with the same set up and it's an absolutely amazing pistol.

That FNX is a beauty for sure, would be on my list. Personally, I like P220 platform, never could shoot a 1911 half as good as them....my favorite is my Equinox, but the SS Elite is very nice, and the Match Stainless Elite with the 5" barrel is awesome.....
