What .45 aside from a 1911 would fit my requirement list?

If I was shooting a .45 that wasn't a 1911, it'd be an HK45 first, then an M&P45 or P220. I have no knowledge of the FN, so it doesn't really figure into my calculations.

After that, they're all equally unappealing to me.

Will the Apex kit bring the trigger down to 4.5lb. ? Factory M&P45s are 7 lb from what i read, wich would be more than i like.

I have the competition kit in two of them. One is around 3 pounds; the other around 4. And crisp. totally changes the gun.
