I can never wrap my head around one gun owner coming down on another for their choice in guns or what they legally do with them. Personally I like ALL types of firearms.
Hearing any disparity from gun owners against gun owners just sounds so wrong to me. $^@#
I also get a laugh at people who have no problem killing animals with their guns but won't shoot at certain types of paper.

Not to mention global environmental damage, corrupt governments beyond civilian control, etc.
Does it freak people out ? No, they'll freak out over what shape is drawn on a piece of paper at a shooting range. I'll never understand it.

The same goes for the other side of the equation. Frankly people who shun shooting at steel etc do not give me the creeps. They just make me chuckle.
That said....perhaps I should stop organizing that youth pheasant hunting opportunity? I would hate to be a negative influence in the CESMs mind on these impressionable kids.

I went to this skeet and trap range in Richmond B.C. a few times and all I had was my black Mossberg 500. I did pretty well busting up clay pigeons with it and I was having fun.
Then this two old farts came over and started lecturing me on how I am what's wrong with the world, who needs this kind of "gang banger" type shot guns and how just the butt on their guns where ten times more expensive than my whole shotty.
They stunk of booz and you could tell by their bulbous red noses that they've never turn down a glass of whiskey. Later I've heard that one of them has been a wife beater all his life. Don't know if it's true as I didn't know the guy who said it but the accused sure didn't strike me as a nice fella.
I was so disgusted with them that I've never gone back there and I have lost all interest in shooting trap or skeet.
The orginal author of this thread sound exactly like those morons and let me tell you, I wouldn't p.iss on those two guys if they were on fire.
Next time one of these idiots talks to me like that I will find out which car is theirs and take a big steamer on their hood. The poop would be in good company.

I really hate participating in pissing matches, but I'm in this discussion to express my point of view.
Obviously, there are a number of different opinions on this subject.
I've never seen any evidence of drunks at the Vancouver Gun club in Richmond though, nor anyone bragging about the value of their obviously expensive over-unders compared to my old Wingmaster.
