What are you looking forward to this fall?

I wasn't able to hunt last fall, and most of the fall before due to health reasons,so this year,I am looking forward to spending some time with my hunting partners getting some fresh air and watching nature. If I happen to kill an elk or a deer, that will be a bonus.

Got drawn for Matane again - pretty much guaranteed 2 moose between the 6 of us.

Getting the dog out for some upland and waterfowl is up there, though. He's 9 and I cherish our time in the field.

I just hope my boss lets me take a couple of Fridays off. The deal at the beginning of the year was 10 days off whenever you wanted. So I told him I would take 5 Thursdays and Fridays off during the fall. He agreed.
Then a month ago he changed it to 2 weeks off during the summer. And everyone had to take them off at the same time. Now I have two weeks off during the summer and my wife still has to work. Blah.
Enough venting. I am looking forward to taking the nephew out and maybe a couple of newbies with a shotgun for grouse. Oh and also hunting whitetail with my old man. With multiple surgeries on pretty much everything on his body he can still outshoot me.
