What Do You Look For in a Black Rifle?

Not at all. If you continue reading you will find I look at fit and function, reliability and durability.

But if there is only one. Its non-restricted.

I did read the whole thing. You said " How it looks and how it makes me feel holding and firing that black rifle. THEN I look at the fit and function, reliability and durability....a track record helps firm it up." It was your wording lol my bad

Accuracy
Reliability
Ergonomics
Durability
Price

Preferably in that order... But price can still be a limiting factor if the ideal candidate is out of my price range.

Any high end M4 is pretty much the bomb IMHO. The right size, weight, accurate, and reliable. Ergos are there, everything is in the right place.
AR's are like 1911's.....everyone makes a version, but until you shoot a properly built gun made with higher quality parts, fit properly, you are missing out on what these guns can be.

First think I am looking for in a Black Rifle is

1) Attitude :)

Then after that its:

2) Pistol Grip
3) Detachable Magazine
4) Flash Hider

If it meets all of these then:

5) Quality
6) Fit and Finsh
7) Realibility

If I have to take the rifle to war, then I reverse the list

There, fixed it for ya Hitzy.;)

I have shot 150 rounds through my norc with no issues except one ftf. And my coworker has one with 500 rounds through it.

My PWS is closing in on 4000 rounds without a single failure that wasn't caused by the operator (a buddy shooting it failed to seat the mag fully). That is still a low round count compared to many people on here. Mine is showing very little wear on any internal parts and I expect it to go to well over 10000 rounds without issues.

Come back and let us know how your Norinco is doing after you've actually got some rounds through it.
