Excuse my Noobyness
I'm a real beginner. Only shooting club-owned firearms (waiting for my late CRFSC results to complete my R-PAL) and have only been "shooting" for 2 months.
As a beginner I shoot whatever .22 LR ammo the club provides, and I notice that it's not always the same brand. My first semi-auto is, most likely, going to be a GSG 1911, thus my interest and my question. What are stingers and why are they different from non(?)stingers?
I've heard the stingers (on cgn, of course) can be pretty rough on the rubber part of the guide rod. Otherwise, very nice. The sights are likely the only thing I am going to change, but it's good to know you really can make the gun your own.
