What Is The Most You'll Spend On A Gun???

With current finances, my ceiling is around 1200 (and that is for the one and only firearm I will own at the time). Naturally the ceiling would increase as my finances did. If I was pulling in six figures I'm sure I'd be willing to spend five grand and up on a firearm.

When I started shooting a few years ago, I would have said $1000, $1500 tops. Optics, meh, why spend more than $200 ?

After owning guns like a PE-90 (well, several of those), an STI Executive, and several custom rigs, I really don't know what I would or would not spend. I don't know if I would drop for a DSR or a Timberwolf but then again, I haven't had one cross my desk....yet....

As much as I can get away with without my wife cr@pping herself.......:p Seriously, my most 'expensive' buy was about 1300 bucks for the gun. You didn't mention 'accessories'......;)

I'm currently considering a Desert Eagle in 50 AE for $900. I'm not sure I should bother. Other than shooting it for a couple of shots and putting it on display at a gun show I don't have any purpose for it.

The most I spent prior to this was $750 on my 44 mag D.E. but that was almost 10 years ago.

I don't think there is any gun I would spent more than $1000 for, if that. I've got plenty of real good handguns that have cost me less.

Depends how much $$$ I have at the time and whether I REALLY like the gun in question. Right now I'm considering $2000+ on a Kimber, but do I NEED to spend that much? There are other Kimbers for less.

Just Want To Know

That depends on the firearm in question, doesn't it?

If I'm in the market for a polymer, the limit might be 800$ whereas I know the cost for a high-end HK might very well hover around the 1500$ mark.

In any case, I don't see how that information would help you in any way unless you're planning on distributing handguns or making your own and setting a price for it.
