What Is The Most You'll Spend On A Gun???

Hi

On a rifle, "expensive" starts at about $1,600 for the rifle and $1,000 for the optics. On a pistol the same point for the weapon is about $2,000.

The fact that it's expensive has never stopped me from buying one though.

Most I'd spend - probably $4,000 on a pistol. Roughly$6,000 on a rifle. On optics I doubt I'd go much over $2,200.

I wonder why all my charge cards are maxed out???:runaway:

I have too many hobbies to spent my money, for guns I can only able to spent $1000 with tax for a single gun. They are just shooting iron, I don't think I will spend more than that.

So far my most expensive rifle has been $1300. I have seen multiple people say they would spend less on the scope but a good scope on a cheaper gun is way better than a poor scope on an expensive gun. Personally I think the scope is worth a lot.

I paid $600 for my Rem 700 SPS and $400 for the Leupold VX-II scope at Wholesale Sports in Calgary. My Rem 870 Tactical Express was $550 I think, My Marlin .45-70 was $510, my Marlin .22 was $450 with a Tasco 24x scope, my 10/22 with Bushnell scope way $350, my SIG 226 9mm was $750, Walther P1 9mm $400... That's what I spent on mine. If I want it I'll justify spending the money some how, but I don't need anything fancy - my $150 surplus .303 will drop a deer at 100 yrds just as well as my $1000 Rem .30-06..... LR

It would depend on the model, the lust for the gun and available funds at the time. Ballpark figure would be about $4000. for the right handgun and about the same for a rifle.
