what is your go to rimfire

Marlin 7000

DSC_2968.jpg

It was a sad day when marlin decided to stop making that gun.

A beat up old Cooey made under the "Ranger" name. Tube-fed, cracked stock :( Accurate as all heck for the age and poor storage, with open sights it'll put an entire box of American Eagle into an inch at 25m. Love it, perfect for teaching my son.

cz 452 scout, compact, very accurate, magazine fed, great little rifle. Sure anschutz 54 action is more accurate but for that handy little 22 the scout is great.

Marlin papoose. Comes apart and fits in a nifty little case for easy transport, can be assembled and ready for action in a few seconds. Accurate enough and very reliable!

Ya my favorite rimfire is also a Marlin Papoose, it compliments my Marlin 795 well with the whole parts/mags interchangeability thing, not to mention they are super reliable and accurate.

Some of you might laugh, but more often than not I'll reach past my scoped 10/22 Deluxe and my octagon-barrrel Henry Frontier to grab my Ithaca M49R. It a great little shooter and I have never had any of the ammo feeding and/or ejecting problems with mine that seem to plague others. Nothing wrong with either the Ruger or the Henry, far from it, just for some reason my hand always seems to go for that old Ithaca.

10/22 Stainless synthetic. Has Tech-Sights and a VQ extractor. As long as I clean out the reciever once every couple years it chugs along just fine. Eats anything I feed it.
