What kind of milsurp prices are people ACTUALLY getting?

Some never crash. Look at steel body 32 Fords for example.

We've just finished up "Deuce Days" - 1700+ 32 Fords in one place, virtually all of the owners are boomers, when they're gone, the demand will go. You can't fight demographics, while there will still be people who love them, they won't be the industry they are now.

I can't see millennials lining up to buy No1's or Garands, or Mausers. The majority don't know enough to ascribe value to them.
Millenials are one of the factors bringing prices up. Video games and hugely popular youtube channels like Forgotten Weapons and C&Rsenal create a lot of interest. The problem is a lot of millenial's don't have $1800 for a Garand...but the interest is there.

True. I am a millennial. All my friends who are into guns that are similar aged or younger are pretty much exclusively into milsurps. We are the generation raised on Call of duty.

I'm sure a lot of people use their credit cards to buy whatever, look at Amazon, everything is done with credit cards, banks love them, lots of interest to be made of people that don't pay off their monthly balance!

Youre right for most run of the mill stuff.

However ALL of the high end milsurps ive sold have gone to people of chinese background. Always a quick emt transaction.

These are recent sales— the transfers have been approved and the pistols have been shipped to the new owners.

1938 dated P.08 with two matching magazines.

Nazi marked FN High Power with 'dla' marked holster and two correct magazines. (One is WaA104 marked)

Variation 2, Mauser M1934 with KM markings and matching Navy Property numbers on the magazine floor plate and grip strap. (Also has vet bring back provenance material.)

Open your eyes, it’s the millennials doing the buying, meanwhile it’s the boomers saying things like “it’s just a X, it’ll only ever be worth (price he paid 30 years ago) to me I’ll never buy one at current prices”

Lol. What is being implied here? Chinese background = cash cows?
That Chinese people are the only other demographic other than white people who are willing to invest in guns as a hobby.

Laugh2 OMG! my Garands, SVT's, Mausers , multiple Mosins, old Winchesters, have turned me into a white guy, can't wait till I go to my next family reunion,:runaway: boy will they be surprised!!!!

What I am wondering is why these bubba Mausers are priced so high, $500 for a Mauser with a cut up stock,,, and/or drilled and tapped,,, should all these butchered milsups not be in the 200-300 dollar range, max.

As always, it depends as to what someone is willing to pay.... :yingyang:

Personally, I know I've paid-up for certain early-production Mausers, even though they were sporterized...

Also, don't forget that sometime "sporterized ones" are the only examples of certain milsurps that some can afford to try & purchase (I'm looking at you, 1903 Springfields bid-up by our American neighbours)!.... :canadaFlag:
