its almost all I use but I shoot steel (out to 1000 yards, or rimfire prs type shoots) more then critters. Most critters I shoot are coyotes and prairie dogs.

I think im going to go with the 3-10 Leupold duplex.

In case anyone was wondering, this is what I went with. 1-10 SFP optic. Really like the cross hair and red dot in it. Would like to go with some lower rings but the giant knob on this rifle already hits the throw lever, so I might need to take off the throw lever or swap the bolt knob.

Hard not to look at the vx3hd 1.5-5 and 2.5-8 also, I have the 1.5-5 on a ranch.

Trijicon accupoint 3-9x40 green mildot would be a nice one too. Did lots of work on my ranch with one.

I have hte 2.5 to 8 on a ruger guide gune in 30-06
it fit into the lower rings which is nice, and is really great all around. subtle zoome ring knob and zero lock
on the CDS dial

i have the 1.5-5 on another bush rifle

Primary Arms SLx 1-10x28mm SFP Rifle Scope is what he chose.​

I think the plus of this scope is the very good illumination. Weight is around 19 oz. Pretty sure it is made in China.

I think you made a good choice. At lower power you will have a huge field of view. I put an old Japan made Tasco 1.5 x 5 on a rifle of similar age; no problem putting tight groups on paper at 100 yards.

I'd go Leupold 2-7 or 2.5-8 for this application.
