Shot two that score very well, and very close to the same for that matter, but with very different guns. One was with a Browning BLR in .243. The other was with my .338 RUM in a Model 700LSS.

model 88 win in 308. A 12 point whitetail that was my first deer. A couple years after some low account thief stole it from my truck after I had an accident. I was taken away, and before the police arrived it, a Browning trombone 22 a Buck knife and 7000 buck in tools were removed.

I have rplaced the 22 but have not yet found an 88 that is of equal quality. I am still looking

Bought it in 1968 with no marking on it as to a specific variety.

Five point muley at 565 yards didn't even twitch. Probably one factor was that I used it for gophers all summer so I did know how it performed.

I have two big white-tails that score high (one typical and one nontypical)

Typical was shot with a rem. 7600 in .35 Whelen. at about 250 yards.
Non-Typical was shot with a Win. M70 in .264 win. mag. at 40 yards.

Anyway my best WT buck was shot with a German Made Weatherby in the wonderful 300 Weatherby. It was topped with the Nosler 180 gr. Accubond.
Best MD was shot with a 30-06 out of a Ruger M77 topped with a Nosler 165 gr. BT.
