What was your first Milsurp?

My first was a 1943 Springfeild M1 then I picked up a Breada M1
Long Lee
M1941 Johnson
some unknown Lee Enfeild
and a 1918 dated 03 Springfeild

My collection started with a sporterized SMLE that my dad got me off Craigslist for $75 to start hunting in 2000, 15 years later I have myself a very nice milsurp collection and almost no savings...

Israeli k98 in 308 for $299 a few years ago. Still the pride of the fleet for looks and accuracy.

I'm not sure if it was the Ljungman AG42b or the Radom VIS35....
Both were bought at about the same time frame, and both needed some parts to shoot safely.

Long story short I grew up in Hungary and since 1956 we weren't allowed owning anything that goes bang not even air rifles. You can shot if you join a shooting club or if you filthy rich you can be a hunter. So somehow my dad acquired a checzslovakian single shot air pistol when I was 6 and that was love at first sight.. After that I had to join the mighty Hungarian army.. Where I was issued an AMD65 and also got to handle the SVD Dragunov. After when I settled in Canada I started out with a Universal M1 Carbine... it was a piece of crap but it still went bang here and there..
