What was your first pistol/revolver

The first hand gun I shot was a S&W 22 wheel I was about 16 but I didnt buy a handgun until I was 48.My first handgun was a Beretta 92F and 13 hand guns later, I still shoot it the most but my Taurus Raging Bull in 454 is my most favorite gun it always makes me smile, but I sure am looking forward to buying a 10mm Glock 29 it looks like one fun gun, my 629 is also right at the top of my fun list so is my 27 S&W, Hell I love them all! But the 92F started it all so its special just like most first things, Happy shooting.

Almost 25 years ago, at 20, I bought my first handgun, a nice Ruger Super Single Six, stainless steel, equiped with a 5 1/2 in pipe.

I remember to have said, at the time; '' with the second .22 Mag cylinder, I wont, need any other handgun, it is the first and the last''.... was totaly wrong !!!!!

I still have it, keeping it for, maybe a day, one of my kids....

twenty years back

35 years ago the first handgun I tried was a Woodsman, owned by a girlfriend's dad's friend. My own first handgun was 25 years ago, a S&W M41. Also the first thing every stolen from me in a B&E. The Edmonton police did recover it after a couple of years.

First handgun I shot was a good old Inglis Browning HP, courtesy of the Queen. What halcyon memories...

The nearest thing I could afford to buy at the time was a CZ75... back when the mags held 15 rounds, legally. I'm still kicking myself that I sold that pistol when the mag limit laws came into effect.

**Sigh**

I just moved to the dark side about a month ago.
Bought a Beretta Neos 22 and just loved it.
Having been bitten hard, I now own a Norinco Tokarev 9mm, a Hi-Point 40 S&W and a Norinco 22.
Me thinks that a lot of my long guns will be safe queens now. :D

First pistol I personally owned, Walther P38.
Second pistol I owned, .455 Webly revolver converted to .45 Auto rim.
Third pistol, Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Spl 5 shot revolver ...
and that is one of the very few guns I really regret selling.

After that, a couple dozen S&W revolvers, a half dozen or so Ruger revolvers,
and well over 100 Colt Govt type pistols, with a few other autos ...
Browning hi powers, CZs, Berettas, Sigs, etc.

My favorite Colt Govt type pistols were the old Randall SS Govt and Commander clones, the Detonics SS Combat Masters, and recently, the polymer framed BUL double stack.

If I was to get another Colt Govt .45 type pistol, the only reason would be to make up another .45 SUPER, and for that I would get the coned/ramped barreled BUL ...
probably the ported model.

These days I shoot Glocks ...
I own three right now ...
two G23s and a G22, set up to use .357 SIG, 9mm, and .40 S&W.

I really should cut down to just one pistol ...
and that would probably be my Gen 3.5 Glock 23, with the three caliber conversion barrels.
Of all the pistols I've owned and shot, literally hundreds, I like the G23 the best.
