What was your first pistol/revolver

first one i shot was a sig p226 in.45, after that i fell in love... just got my restricted and i hope i can get a pistol before this summer. it will likely be a 1911 probably a good starter and it fits well in my hands...
 
my first was Margolin, some 30 years ago. I joined pistol shooting league of sort, or how russians called it "section". Coach first checked all wannabee's hold and chose a few better ones ( I was one of those chosen). Then we were dry firing till we were blue in our faces. I think it was almost a month before we got to shoot pistols. Then coach implemented 3p rimfire rifle discipline, in his sick mind that was supposed to make better overall shooters. And I think it did. Oh, by the way, if some of us kids did something wrong, like accidental pointing the gun in a wrong direction or carrying in other than barrel down positon - he would kick that poor bugger right out. Oh and a lot of pneumatic rifle shooting too. How was that supposed to make us better at pistol I don't know. Anyways, Margolin still brings warm smile to my face.
 
First shot: 9mm CZ 75B, about three years ago, during my first ever range visit... You buy the ammo, they supplied the guns.

First (and still only) purchased: A 9mm FEG P9R, which is a Hungarian "clone" of a Browning High Power, also sold by Mauser as the 90DA. I've had it for about two years now, and it gets regular use at the range.
 
First one I shot was with the army - Browning Hi-Power in 9mm. My first one to own is a Sig SP2022 and I am still very pleased with it.
 
First .22lr (first gun): Ruger 10/22 in stainless w/wood stock.

First centerfire restricted (second gun): Ruger GP100 6" blued.

First centerfire non-restricted (third gun): Norinco SKS.

too many since then (mid-90's) :D
 
First .22 pistol...........tanarmi single action TA76. It was a cheap gun, but mine shot great.
First .22 rifle..............C.I.L. 171 bolt action. Great accurate little shooter.
First centerfire rifle.......... .30-06 Rem 7600 pump
First centerfire Handgun..........Norinco 213
Favorite handgun that I ever owned.............Ruger mk 1 target. It shot the lights out with every ammo I tried. It couldn't be killed.
 
The first pistol I used was a commander-length 1911 in .45 at the mall range in Edmonton. Don't remember what make, but that zombie target lost the battle. My first purchase was a brand spanking new Springfield G.I. Don't know how many thousands of rounds I've put through that pistol, but it is a keeper. Its also the reason my son is a 1911 nut now.
