First new in the box was a stainless 10/22.

I still have and shoot them all.

wow...that's a nifty Squires Bingham! is something like that still non-restricted or is it too close to a replica that it's deemed prohib now?

Nope, not restricted or prohib. My co-worker has one and the CFC told him not to worry. "Not restricted and not prohib".

My first .22 was also a Squires Bingham semi but the model 20. Bought new in '86 for $92. Picked up a 30 round banana clip for it and its still my #1 go to .22 in my cabinet. I have a 10/22 as well....but.....not my most favorite gun. Also have a Winchester Mod. 69A bolt I got for free. Its a tack driver with the factory peep sights. I just like the semi's better.

My first rimfire was a used Cooey 64 b I picked up 2 moths ago for 75$. Its a great little gun and I have had few problems with it.

First shot was exactly like GrantR's a few pages back. Remington model 12, my dad's at the time, but he's since given it to me. First gun that was 'all mine' was a Cooey Model 60 bolt action repeater with a Weaver 4x on it. Shoots like a dream, still love that gun. The first one I purchased on my own is still getting shipped here! Its a Ruger 10/22 standard model. I'm putting a BSA 3-9 mil-dot on it.

Cooey Rabbit, still have it, then a Squires Bingham M-16, then to Rem Viper and came to my senses and Ruger 10/22 though open sights still got to have a single shot cooey
