Nice thing about the 1300 and SXP is that they can also properly feed mini shells, which a lot of shotguns can't.Alright I made my decision, I cannot find a shotgun I like within ~ 650$ max with ghost rings. Only the Benilli but I don't want that for subjective reasons. I will give the Winchester SXP Defender in OD green a try. I don't really mind where it's made, as long as it attached to a good brand it should be reputable right. I've read alot of comments online people say theirs are great. Some with issues but there are fixes documented and most cases it's user error short stroke seems like. Any anyways I guess selling at loss is always an option. But got it for good price IMO, 535$ tax in shipped.
If the bead and TRUGLO sight doesn't work for me, I will resort to installing a rail and use my red dot that I intended to sell. I have a Vortex crossfire II that I got originally for my Kodiak WK181 but I realised I have astigmatism, and when used with a 3X magnifier it was difficult to pin point it on my target. But on a shotty and without magnification, I'm sure it should do just fine.
Mossberg and Maverick are the most reliable choices.
Consistently.
What I really want though is a Mossberg Beachmaster. Yeah, it's a real thing.

Nah, that's Mr. TFB doing his Hasselhof impression.I thought that was a picture of Justin Trudeau.
Also 870, because JT is apparently a mossberg guy.

Yeah, my 1300s are probably the smoothest and fastest to pump I've owned, except maybe for my Fabarm. My brothers old 80s era Win 1300 or 1400 sure was smooth and fast to pump.
They didn’t come on that barrel, although I have a similar set of factory fiber optic rifle sights on a Rem 870 20” turkey barrel. I attached the set that’s on my 14” barrel.Don't make me second guess, it's already shipped
Question though are those stock ghost sights? I read about adding some if I don't like the bead and I was reading that you can't right, because usually the front post is welded by the manufcaturer? Or can I install ghost sights if I really dislike the bead and my red dot backup doesn't work out? I thought they just screwed in the holes in receiver and barrel of where bead would be.

No, not ar sights. They’re common on older iron sighted Rem bolt action 700’s and their older pump action rifles, the rear is adjustable for elevation and windage if I remember correctly. Front is adjusted for elevation with different height sight blades, they are my favourite sights.Ah okay yeah as I suspected.
Also I read on there and I realise when you refer to rifle sights you mean something else than ghost rings, I thought both were same on a shotgun. So you talking about actual like AR iron sights?
Personally I prefer a bead sight,I find it much quicker to pick up than ghost ring sights, and the fibre optic on the SXP is super easy to pick up. I’ve never used “ rifle sights” on a shotgun barrel but my buddy uses them and likes them a lot. The fibre optic/ bead sight combo on your SXP is totally adequate for slugs out to 100 once you know your holdovers. Actually, the SXP is a fantastic shotgun for the cost, I picked up a 28” barrel model about 3 months ago as a backup Trap gun for friends and family to use and I really enjoy it. So much so, that I’m in the market for the 18” Defender model, but one of the threaded barrel models to run different chokes. I have a 590 Retrograde that I’ve been using from time to time in 2 Gun competitions but the lack of chokes isn’t ideal, need to tighten up the patterns and a cylinder bore isn’t the ticket lolAh okay yeah as I suspected.
