What's in the Shop This Week

Damn that’s no good. Hopefully it’s a quick warranty turn around cause I can imagine that stuff is easy to come by. Defers just chomping at the bit looking forward to it! Make sure when you send it back to send a few cards along with it.

Also that nosler 28 looks amazing.

Paul, really enjoyed talking with you last Saturday. Pictures and measurements will be coming, just been a really hectic week. Thanks for taking the time - it’s really appreciated

It's been a late night in the shop tonight! Been finishing up the last bit of product to bring the the gun show in Olds this weekend.
I'll be bringing Bottom metal, rails, and action wrenches for Tikkas, a few Savage 340 mounts, as well as these (at special show pricing) for the Remington guys!

Come check us out!
(I'm going to bed now...)

Back in the shop today, Thanks to all who visited with us at Olds over the weekend!

Here are some more pictures of the Remington 700 rails I finished up last week...

These stainless rails will be an additional, regularly stocked item in the shop moving forward.

As with my Tikka rails, My goal is to offer a premium rail that is precisely made; with a low profile that is snag/sharp-edge free, as well as being aesthetically pleasing.

I'll have their Long Action counterparts finished up pretty quick here as well.

As always, custom angle of inclination is available on a built-to-order basis, at no extra charge.

Cheers!

Thanks! They are working well.
By the way, the replacement gun drill for your project came in! Unfortunately it also failed immediately, in spite of using their suggested starting speeds/feeds. I've shipped both drills, the work piece as well as 4 work piece blanks to the drill maker. They are going to drill them in-house and ship back to me along with their successful drill and recipe. What a gong show! Pretty tough on the ego. Honestly, I HAVE used a gun drill before...

In other news, I bushed this Sako firing pin yesterday.
The issue is quite evident in this picture, the deep chamfer on the bolt face was causing bad cratering even with conservative loads.

Drilled, bored and counter-bored; Ready for threading.

Bushing installed and faced...

Ready for another 10,000rds

The bushing on that bolt face looks amazing.

Sorry the project is so hard on the ego. Hopefully they get something sorted and can send you the right combo shortly :) looks like I will be hunting the first few weeks with my bow and shotgun. Just gives me practice for close range stuff.

Making some Custom Sako scope bases for a customer who wants to bring his scope rearward of available tube travel.
This mount has a reversed ring location which will buy him the required real-estate...

If it's fit Sako XS action, you can make another set. Picture sent.
My action feel's kind of nude and she's waiting for her mate (the stock) in the mail!
Patrick

Or you could do those bases without scope rings holes, and add a pica rail on top (3 slots in the back and 4 in front). I would be a taker because my pica rail is too close to the receiver and I dont have much room to eject cases.
