Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

An Extra Light Winchester 45-70 witha steel butt plate shooting a 400 grain bullet loaded to 2,000 fps. I loaded up 40 rounds of those but after firing four of them, took the rest home, pulled the bullets, and reloaded them to more sane levels.

I have to say, the most uncomfortable longgun I've ever shot was an old cooey 12 guage singleshot with old winchester super X lead goose loads. Not the heaviest recoiling gun, but by far the worst to shoot

Hard plastic recoil pad, and a rather robust What, 4.5 maybe 5 lbs? Nothing I've ever shouldered was that memorable. It left me a bruise to remember for a while...:)

I was just thinking the exact same thing! I think it was a cooey 840. Light gun with some old lead goose loads. It was unpleasent that's for damn sure!

I think the hardest kicking firearm i ever fired was a guys 375 H&H the recoil was so bad the vibration would travel from his back deck all the way down his moble home and turn the oil furnace on and off by rattling the thermostat.it was also aug which made it even more funny.

Steyr HS-50 by far the most recoil, but my cz550 in 458 win is a vicious bastard. The worst by far though was a ruger #1 in 7 stw. that sonofa##### rattled you right to your balls.

I once had a couple of shots with a falling block 500 nitro express (not sure of the weight but well under 10 lbs including the scope). The pain was only made worse when I was told it was only loaded 70% of the recommended charge...

anyone remember euorpean arms on kingsway in vanvouver? i bought a 12 g. sxs in there for $40.00 because the rear stock was half missing. instead of a 5"-6" piece with a recoil pad it was about 3" .all that force across only 3" .only ammo i had was some heavy shot, being 20 years old i figured no worries.it was like some driving a shotgun powered steake through my shoulder.good colour in the bruise -yellows , purples, blue/blacks......

.510 Beecher Express. Custom rifle made for a friend of mine. That thing kicked like a mule on steroids! The full on .510 kicked, but he had a .460 Weatherby bored open to take the .510 round, no muzzle brake, no recoil pad, nothing. I'm a large guy, and that thing jumped 8 inches out of my left hand. Not sure how much powder he had in there, but for some reason a 550 grain bullet recalls for some reason. That was back before I paid attention to loading. This was a beast from the bowels of Hell itself. Was a whole lot of fun though!
