Thanks guys. That's quite a gap in bullet weights, I may have to try Marshall's 270 grainer.
I have used both it and the Speer 270. While both work well, the Matrix is noticeably more accurate in my rifles.

Mauser98 - I completely agree with you on the compromises that we are forced to make. At least it seems for me with this rifle. C'est la vie. I will see what scoping it does for me.
medvedqc - You obviously fit your Zastava very well, and I wish I could say the same!
If I put the stock in the bend in my elbow I can just barely use the trigger comfortably. If it was any longer it would be too long. I have used iron sights on a .22 before I scoped it. So I'm not a complete newb with them but I don't have a world of experience with the either. I think I have a bit of a long neck.

I knew this post was trouble the first time I opened it many pages ago! I made a deal on a 1950's Husky in 9.3x62 last night. Now to round up dies and components for when she arrives. I think that cast practice loads in this round would make for some fun shooting so I might start a thread on the reloading section for that. I sure do like the old Husky rifles.
Just out of curiosity, what is the length of pull measured from the bow of the trigger to the center of the butt?
You got a good deal there, I tried for that rifle but you beat me to it by one day and the ad was still up. Anybody else have a 98 action x62 they'd let go for a good price? That one was $450.
Wow, that's long for a factory rifle. It's like they were thinking about me when they designed that stock rather than the rest of the population that are decidedly shorter than me.
Trying to round up reloading components now so that I'll be ready for the Nova Scotia dangerous game season.![]()
Actually there not any taller than us Canadians , my parents were born in Romania which is beside ex Yugoslavia and some of them are shorter than us. I'm 6.1.'
