I wouldn't call it that. It's a 30-06 necked down to 27 cal. I think a good sized twig would send that off in another direction.

You want a brush buster go with the 45-70, it'll mow down tree's.

Remington 760 18.5" Carbine in .308 scoped in a Leupold 1.5x5. I'm currently having a 7600 in 35Whelen cut back to 20" with a 1x4 VXII, so it will be close.
