What's your white whale?

A 1974 Marlin 336 in tip top shape. Honest use accepted, but not abuse.

I did locate one, and it looks great, but the owner has not said they want to sell.

Just my luck, chuckle.

Someday...

Cheers
Jay

Only seen one and I should-aaaaaah bawt it.
Schultz $ Larsen in .308win.
Looked bran spank'in new too.

Need to find something in 25-35 just because I bought a RCBS die set when
WSS had'im awn sale.

Owned one years ago and sold the thing.................duh..................:slap:

I'm thinkin' about grabbing a fresh Winchester Sporter in 25-35 when they get up here. Uber fun cartridge to work with.

I do believe they are short action? I have read that the .257 Roberts can be both? Regardless if it's proof your after here you go lol

You took that wrong... I was just pointing out that it was a short action as opposed to the usual long action... I have owned half a dozen rifles chambered for .257 Roberts and they have all been long actions...

I have 2 "White Whales" in my collection. One is a 700 Classic in 7x57. [This Stock originally came on a Classic in 8x57, but I swapped it over to my 7x57, and kept the 8x57 with a bit plainer wood]

The other is my Leeper built 308 Norma Magnum.

Dave,

That's some very nice wood there Dave, although I really like the darker finish, but that's just me.
