When will 7.62x39 get any (new) love?

had a nice batch of Bulgarian or Romanian surplus years ago that did just over 1MOA out of SKS, couldn't find it any more after I ran out of it :(
the Czech surplus is 2MOA on a best day :(

Care to elaborate ? Honestly whats even comparable to 7.62x39 outside of 30-30 and 300 Black Out ?
Anything in the .223 or .308 range is a reasonable comparison IMO. 7.62x39 only ever won out on price at best and that is becoming less of a thing fairly quickly. In a mini-action rifle it can be handy but I would take 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, .300BLK and maybe a few others long before I purposely picked the x39.

Apples to apples, the price for good ammo across that range is essentially identical. 6mm ARC is more capable at 1000m than 7.62x39 is at 500. It's all but obsolete. I still like it, I still shoot it but I have a hard time ignoring it's shortcomings when comparing it to almost anything.

So only if you neck it down massively. Which is a fair argument as those rounds do seem superior in many ways.

But it also goes to show that in terms of pressing a .30cal projectile into that action size there really isn't much room for improvement. That x39 is still in the game just as much any other intermediate 30cal cartridge.

X39 is obsolete in the same way .308 is obsolete i suppose.

I have no problems getting .50" groups with reloads from my CZ527 Privi brass....Fed LRMP ....25.5gr of IMR 4198 and a privi 123 SP. Buddies daughter dropped a moose at 75yards with her's 2 of the 3 chest hits exited. Went in a semi -circle and fell over.

Jesus, I remember getting a free crate with an sks purchase
Good thing I still got a couple full crates kicking around for emergency purposes
No way I’d spend 700 plus on surplus corrosive, I would just reload my own for less and it would be non corrosive
or was the crate paying the sks lol ... sold all my 7.62x39 and it took over 2 years to end all ... i had a few but seems people did not want to pay regular price cant imagine the price they would have to pay today lol ... now 5.56 and 223 no way to leave the home lol
