Winchester even has a upc for a featherweight model 70, says current production too
<LOL> ..... I'm sure there are some out there that will take exception to this new King of the 270s.
Is there anything more classic than a controlled feed Model 70 Featherweight 270?

Yup, a Remington 700 chambered in the 270 Win. is much nicer. I forgot to update my 270 Win. Mag. thread. It's now shooting an average of 3,362 fps (accuracy is the same/sub .5 moa) with my new Petersen Brass Cases, with 60.0 grains of Alliant #26. Peterson is really great brass, it's most consistent in weight, hard and heavier than most other brand name. Meh! Meh! Meh! The 6.8 Western, yea right,
I'll rest it this hunting season, taking out the 300 H&H Mag. and 240 Wby. Mag. for critters.
Push a 6.8 Western to the same pressures and it will give you another 100 fps, if speed is important to you

Read my signature line. Hunters have guns built for their pleasure, to test the rifles attributes, to push it to it's full potential. All my rifles are sub .5" at 100 yards, the rifles have achieved their goals and then some.
I like your signature. I though I was a $hittty hunter, turns out I’m a trophy hunter.
I was tempted to pull that tag out of my pocket a few times.............a 160 B&C whitetail is still to small, still looking for the super-buck.
I'd take the 160 BC whitetail,![]()
I'm the sort of fellow who is content with a Spoon & Crockpot buck.
Yup I agree. With a 3” mag and a proper throat the WSM is a thing of beauty.

That is because some of us do not give a dam about how big a set of antlers is to brag over .
All I see is belt buckles, screwdriver handles and knives slabs when i see a set if antlers, regardless of the size!
