10/22 is a very fun gun, doesn't meet the #1 requirement as a stock rifle though, but they're tons of after market 'accurizing' accessories.
10/22 is good but I am too lazy to do any modification.
Maybe I need two. one 10/22 plus something else.
Browning Buckmark Rifle with a target barrel. They are a blast to shoot, accurate as well, a little ammo sensitive (Fed bulk packs soot well)
10/22 is a little easier to find tho.
Very impressive results. What ammo were you using?i've just go back from the range on day one with an improperly mounted scope my t/c R55 is shooting one hole groups at 50 yrds and 2 inch at 100 Some set up problems on my part but so far the R55 is looking to be a great gun.
Savage Mk.II BV, BTV or BTVS, a quality scope and lots of ammo. Easily under your $700 budget.
