Which guns would you realistically like in your locker?

I would like a new S&W 500 and a 50 caliber for squirrelly huntin':D
Actually this is one I neglected.
A H&R HandiRifle in .500 S&W would be stacks of fun, with a Limbsaver and bag full of lead in the buttstock mind you.

Kombi, the 500S&W is no that big a case, it's slight larger than the 454 casull!
One of the guys had one at the last a few weeks back, interesting wheel gun for sure, very accurate.

I've got one on order :D

The guys over on graybeard outdoors forums are talking 4500ft-lbs from standard published loads out the 20" barrel. This is 375 h&h range, and the gun is just under 6.5 lbs :yikes:

My cabinet is suprisingly complete, I do have low expectations, I have what I need to hunt what I hunt. What I would like to add in the near future is that new savage precision long range varminter in 204 (with good glass for once).

But I have ot three boys 2 that show interest in hunting and shooting the other is more of an archer. So I'll will be needing a few thing soon.

17m2 A savage bolt most likely
Handi 22 hornet, and a 30/30 or 7-08
Stevens 7-08

And probaly at last on more 10/22 mybe even one each

After that they are on ther own?

ooooo! That's a good one. I'll take one too. In fact, I'll probably trade my 12BVSS in for it.

NO NO NO! You have to go for it in the S&W! That's what I let 303 Carbine try.:) Careful though. With heavy loads and the bigger bullets it can inflict pain @ BOTH ends.;)

What I have full intensions of getting these, one day:

-SIG P226R in .40S&W (in a year or two)
-12.5in Remington 870P
-Smith and Wesson 636 in stainless
-Glock 22 in OD + Nite Sites
-Kimber Desert Warrior .45ACP
-Mossberg 590A1
-Swiss Arms Classic Green
-Remington M700P in .308Win (next on my list)
-Valtro PM-5 14" ported bbl
-Fabarm ProForces 14"bbl
-Blaser LRS2 in .308Win (when I retire)
-Sako TRG42 in .338 Lapua (when I retire)
-10/22 Custom Target
-Some sort of AR15, most likely Stag 2R or an RRA
-.50BMG would also be nice
-Krinker Plinker

Y'know, what I don't get is this fascination with Swiss Arms Classic Greens.
They really are freakin' ugly.
In fact there's nothing classic about them.
Being unable to use semi auto rifles of any kind I'm not really au fait with what's hip at the moment but they really appear very unattractive unless your desire is to resemble GI Joe.
Please explain why so many people would like one? Or is it just the price tag?

Wishes and wants

I'd like to see in my locker:

Browning A-Bolt 12 gauge
224 Weatherby Magnum
6mm PPC
My Dad's old .303 Enfield he gave away :( when I was a teenager.

Browning make a bolt action shotgun??
You don't perhaps mean a Browning A5 do you?
And tell me, why a .224 Wby Mag when a .220 Swift will match it and a hot-loaded 22-250 is close on it's heels?
Plus brass and ammo for the .224 is VERY expensive and pretty rare.

since this is the hunting rifle forum, i would say, savage 1920 in 250-3000 or a mannlicher 1903 carbine.

also:
sig classic green
a G33/40 and a G98/40
a legal antique SAA and a webley

What I will for sure own in my lifetime:
10ga. SxS
12ga. SxS
20ga. SxS
10ga. Semi-Auto
12ga. Semi-Auto
20Ga. Semi-Auto
8ga. SxS Elephant Gun
.600 Nitro Express SxS
.577 T-REX SxS
.505 Gibbs Bolt Action
.50 BMG Semi-Auto and Bolt-Action
.416 Rigby Bolt Action
.375 H&H Mag. Bolt Action and Semi-Auto
.350 rem. mag. Pump Action
.338 rem. ultra mag. Bolt Action
.338 win. mag. Semi-Auto and Bolt-Action
.300 rem. ultra mag. Bolt Action
.300 win. mag. Bolt Action and Semi-Auto
7mm. rem. mag. Bolt Action and Semi-Auto
.30-06 sprngfld. Bolt actions and Semi-Autos
.308 win. Bolt Actions and Semi-Autos
8mm. rem. mag. Bolt Action
.280 rem. Bolt Action
.270 win. Bolt Action and Semi-Auto
6.5mm rem. mag. Bolt Action
.25-06 rem. bolt action
.243 win. bolt action and Semi-Auto
.220 Swift bolt action
.22-250 rem. bolt actions
.223 rem. bolt actions and semi-autos
.17 Rem. bolt action

-That will cost quite a bit of money, I guess I will not own them all until I retire! That is all the guns I wish to own in my lifetime, a large assortment of calibers and gauges to perfectly match any game and lots of different actions for different game and environments/terrain, as you can see I am a big fan of repeaters and SxS, will probably own some of those calibers in a Thompson/Center Encore as well as I like the look of that rifle...... And yes, this list is realistic, I can already scratch a few off of the list, but lots will be aquired in the future............
