Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

I am not a fan of anything Savage. I generally like at least one model from most of the major manufacturers, but Savage has nothing to offer me. Their bolt actions, though accurate are just so rough and cheap feeling. Don't get me started on the venerable 99 either.

The 'Jungle Carbine' has always been my favorite of that group. This is the only one I have at present, for that odd day of burning powder in a 303. I acquired an original bayonet fairly recently to complete the package.

You sir are in possession of the only 303 that I would have...I have shot dozens of 303's...reloaded for them...hunted with them....You have a beaut there...

And it still has the dodgy Enfield loading system...ie no cartridge interrupter.

I may have posted before in this thread but I just can't resist.

I'll hopefully never own a Savage, Browning, or Mossberg. I've seen and heard good things about all of them but it's like ketchup or salt & vinegar chips; I just don't like them.

to me, Browning is the onion & garlic, my favorite! remember the old Hunter brand in the green bag? 10 cents a bag. (mid 60's)

Anything H&R! The quality is simply horrendous and most H&R are fugly!
The made M14 that blew up for the US millitary and some of the ugliest firearms ever designed and produced.

I hate them so much that I would even hesitate to buy a good H&R rifle.
