PPSH!! I like it I like it alot, the 7.62x25 is a good hot little round and the gun was reliable.

Simo Hayha, named "The White Death" by the russians, and the world top scoring sniper with over 800 kills, in 100 days, also used the Suomi smg for killing around 200 russian soldiers who was send out to hunt and kill him.

It's been said a lot of russians died upright, frozen standing. Good ol' finns.

Yes simo was a great sinper, but did you know he never used a scope as he felt it put his head to high up, and he was wounded by getting shoot in the head. and I think he died in 2002 0r 2003

I also like the Thompson m1a1 as well.

Going on a slight tangent regarding the weight of the Thompson;
M1928 A1 is roughly 4.90kg
vs
M1 Carbine at about 2.50kg....

I know which one I'd rather carry.

"...Reising..." Ever shoot one? Buggers look like Cooey .22's with the op handle under the forestock. No felt recoil, but the muzzle does rise. Very easy to control though. Downside is that all the parts were hand fitted in the factory. Parts are not interchangeable between guns. Mix 'em and they jam like stink. There were 6 of 'em one year at Second Chance for the PEE shoot. Some guy offered to help clean 'em and mixed the parts. Got my shooting in before it happened. Neat little guns. Wouldn't want to fight with one though.

The Suomi was a beautifully accurate, reliable SMG - but a 10 pounds for a tube sub-gun is freakin' stoopid....

It's as much a rifle as a smg, almost in a class of it's own.

That's not an Australian Sten. An Aussie Sten is the Austen. The one in the photo is Spencer's clone of a New Zealand LP Sten.

I voted for the Thompson 1928A1. Heavy, but well built, reliable, good accuracy and the terrific punch of the .45ACP round.

My second choice would be the KP31 Suomi. Not too crazy about the 9mm, but a solid design which has all the positive features of the Thompson.

Well, the line up is still the same with the thompson in first place, the PPSH in second place and the MP38/40 in third place, guess these three sub guns are the most desrired.Oh the poor Sten, fourth place, LOL
