Who is buying a Type81?

I'm still hoping frank from m14.ca will come of with red dot mount that replaces the rear sight for these. I'd also love to see someone adapt a Zhukov stock to one.

How long is the boat ride? I'm getting antsy now...lol

Also having second thoughts about the fixed stock, although if I were to go with a folder I'd rather have a restricted barrel length...

Was there some talk that one stock style was sturdier than the other?
I can't recall...was the fixed stock prone to cracking or something?....just wondering what may be the better stock option to select..or doesn't matter ?

Only reason I went with the folder is it's more true to the military style of the rifle. Fixed looks comfier to cheek weld but isn't the typical configuration the rifles are known for.

I would think the fixed stock would be sturdier as it can't wobble
Whereas the folder could have some slop in it.
I ordered the folder but may get a fixed one too

I see TI has updated the order page with "Production is underway, to be completed July 25th. It will be 6-8 weeks after for the goods to cross the ocean and into Canada."

How many people that cancelled their preorders jumped back on? I'm still getting a sling and three additional mags for $15 so I'm glad I didn't cancel...

I cancelled my preorder several months back and bought a brs99 and am glad i did it is a blast to shoot and in my safe, but i do intend on buying back in. There are still over 400 available for presale so i am watching closely hahaha

I'm beginning to think that the "81" stands for 2081... only 64 more years until release!
