Who is buying a Type81?

I'm also going to keep my order with TI. Once these rifles get here, it will be ****ING Awesome!
After all, it is only Time and Money.
Thank you TI for all of your effort, don't let the Debbie Downers get to you.

How long have we been talking about these coming??? Been a real long time and they're not even produced yet. Doesn't instill confidence. If these ever get here and are in stock at a retailer, I will consider. Anything less, you guys can pony up and be the guinea pigs.

Feels like you guys are spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere...

I see both sides and I respect the folks that understand full well what they were signing up for with a pre-order but I don't need a gun so bad that I will give someone $1000 and then wait indefinitely while hoping to maybe get something from it one day. Money to burn eh....

actually from my opinion the total cost was around 1250$ with a few extra mag , since that we got a free mag and the lately 50$ store credit from TI , which i believe is more in a year than any interest rates i could have get if i had put this money in saving . i already waited a long time for that one and will wait until i get it

WOW! Haven't read all the way back yet to see what happened with the new update! How did they update people with the other thread locked now? I think I'm good to wait until the end of the summer, but if there is another "It's going to be bla, bla, bla" more time after that, I will have to seriously weigh my decision to bail or not!

If they are short of money, why not pair up with another company to get these to market!!!! Getting half the expected proceeds from the total sale of the batch is much better than never getting anything and destroying your companies reputation at the same time!!!

This is really getting sad! I was very excited and now I reluctantly wait for the next disappointing news in July....

Costing me nothing to stay in now, in fact I'm gaining, mags, slings ect. Money on this pre-order is gone for me and I've already moved on and bought several more guns. I'm in until it gets here or gets cancelled.

Ok, read the update on their page. Ummmm, is it just me or are the comments made on here and all the doom and gloom WAAAY out of control from what was said by TI!!?? It all seems perfectly understandable (if true) and I have no idea where the "they need to pay for the full price for all the rifles before they will get made and they don't have that money yet" stuff come from?

Might be a good time for everyone to unclench collective butt cheeks and remove panties from said cheeks! LOL

Whatever. I have basically forgotten about that money and have bought other stuff since and will continue to. If they aren't here or at least confirmed in production by the end of the summer, I'll re-think then.

ok, yeah. I could understand that completely. I'm sure that China would want to be paid in full to cover their own butt's from companies bailing out in the end.

I'll still wait till the end of summer. Re-evaluate then. Feel kinda like Forrest Gump. "When I got to the ocean, I figured since I had run all that way, I may as well turn around an keep on running...." or something like that. LOL

Waited this long....

Ok, just found the update on their forum. Funny I never received an email. I was one of the first to pony up my money! :(

That concluded for me, why I am out. No email, either. I was also in, in the early goings. Just cannot continue, personally, as to me that says I support this way of doing business. That, I most certainly, do not. Fairly obvious to me that my duration of commitment, up to this last update, means absolutely nothing to them.

Just reciprocating the love.

I was wondering why they don't anti up the cash to get this on the assembly line and then sell them when they arrive like most other sponsors? With all the obvious interest in these rifles, I am sure they would sell out in a week! They should just do it!

$1000 per rifle. 1000 rifles. That's a million in inventory. Even if the rifles cost 500 per unit, that's half a million out of pocket.

Not every company can swing that.

They used several tactics to keep my order in. First being the incentives of a free magazine and a sling. Second being a $50 gift card which in my case will go towards two more magazines. Third was a scare tactic, notice at the bottom of their update they made a point of saying existing orders have the price locked in. To me that suggests they may plan on raising the price "come June" if this does truly end up being the only production for the foreseeable future. Anyways until a better option comes along it's the best shot I got at getting my hands on the gun I want, so I'll continue to play the waiting game.:bangHead:

Not a scared tactic....REALITY.... ive played the game on other firearms before.....not buying into the pre order at a locked in price.....when the firearm became available for purchase it was 199$ more.....when these do hit canada "which they will" TI can charge whatever they want......I can almost guarantee a price increase on 99$ to 199$ on these......and guarented people will still buy one....really considering using the 50$ to order a folder.....you guys can say what you want....I do have a feeling that these could be the first and last batch to come to canada

So a good marketing plan would be to give CGN a 1 week warning of a price increase for the pre-orders.
Kind of a last chance before production starts.... Then they have a better idea of ordering 300 or 3000???

Understood, so if people are asked to post the full amount or even half, then this small company basically has no money in the game, just using the customers money, a tually if they take full payment then they already have their profits, not much incentive to try hard to rush things along! I can see 50%, at least they will need to deliver to get their cut!
