Who wants a 44 spl revolver?

Charter Arms is willing to make these revolvers.

I can understand the desire to get custom S&W revolvers, but that is a whole different undertaking altogether.

I have one with a 3" barrel. My wife has decided that it is "her" gun. It's very light. Great with mild loads, but it hurts with anything approaching full power.

I have had zero quality complaints in the 30 years I have had this gun, but have heard bad things about Charter quality since. No idea what theya re like now.

We will be pursuing these further. I expect there will be most demand for the 357 but we will also bring in some 44 spl, 22 mag, and 22 LR.

No ETA at this point; it'll likely be a while to get all the ducks in a row.

K.O.

I would be interested in a 22LR.

I would buy two in 44 magnum right off the bat. I would perhaps think of 357 but Ruger has the GP100 for that flavour, so a nice gun in 44 mag where I could also use 44 spl if I wanted.

Having owned a 3" Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special, I thought it was a great revolver...very well made and accurate. I may be tempted to buy one of these if you get them in, Kodiak. :)

I didn't even know that charter Arms still existed! If they made a minimum length 22lr I would be totally interested!

Don't buy many reading magazines, do you? They have ads all over the place in the US magazines. Of course, there they tend to be in the $3-400 price range. Largely meant for the concealed carry crowd, who largely aren't going to actually shoot them a whole lot. As Dan Belisle stated, they are meant to be carried a lot, and shot a little. The companies main goal, seems to be providing the budget minded person with a reliable firearm, mainly intented for personal defense, be it for carry or home defense. They do have a fairly decent reputation, within that realm. Someone looking for a gun to run over 2000 rounds per year, might be disappointed with the firearm, it's really not inteded for competetion or heavy use.

Much like Kahr, everything they make is prohib here, so this special run is a nice treat, and we should thank Kodiak for his continued dedication in bringing in special runs of unique guns into this country :)

(If you keep it up long enough you are bound to bring in something I really want, but meanwhile, it's good for us all generally that dealers try to do this, and I hope these Charter Arms revolvers sell well.)
