Why so much .22lr ammo now?

What's the deal here? Couldn't find any .22LR ammo last year and now every store has pallets of all the different brands??

Because there never was a real shortage...the drop in supply was due to US hoarders who habe now realized they are crazy.
So lets start the Canadian hoarding.

The winter is not really a shooting season for many , so the demand drops . The CT here has no bulk 22s in stock , and Walmart is hit and miss....when summer hits again , demand will go up , and supply will go down....

I also don't see too much, most cheap bulk ones of 500 or more are out of stock. Where did you see "that much"? A link would be nice
