Why would a EE seller ask for "scan of PAL and drivers to complete sale"

Do us ALL a favour....stop trying to babysit us and "prevent" anything.
The people you are attempting to sway have infinitely more experience than you do....holy crap, the CFC themselves have confirmed multiple times that you are wrong.

Seriously man...let it go. You aren't accomplishing anything, and you CERTAINLY arent helping.

You have no idea who I am and how much experience I have but don't let that stop you from putting your foot in your mouth. If you think post count and trader rating add up you don't know jack.

If it means using the CFC folks to act as brokers and verify PALs, that may be the due diligence we all should follow. They may not keep a recording of the conversation but I can.

Alright you're thinking that far ahead that someone you sell your NR to is GOING to commit a crime , then how in a court of law are you going to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the recording you're providing isn't just you calling a friend and pretending to verify a PAL? A crown prosecutor will shoot holes through that very, very fast.

If we were to make a face to face deal and I show you my PAL in person, are you going to still call it in even though my physical possession of it is in fact proof that it is valid (if it wasn't the RCMP would have seized it)?

Enjoy this new freedom for what it is, and if a person sets off warning signs don't sell to them. A verification of a PAL isn't going to stop the fact that you made a bad decision in selling to someone who set off your better judgement.

So....you are more qualified to comment then the CFC? The RCMP? Wow! Maybe you should be arguing with them then....because they have made it very clear that you are incorrect.

As for thr rest? It's not about post count. It's not about trader rating. It IS about quality of content, and yes... yours tells us all we need to know.

Besides, don't like people speaking for you and/or lecturing you and/or talking down to you? Hmmmmm..... ;)

*sigh* Just when I decided not to go for the "Gold". f:P:2:

And I had his info to do the same thing Whether it was a scan or just the typed info needed to verify with CFC. You guys are just like the American slaves that were freed after the Civil War. You want to go running back to the same Masters that had you chained before because you have no idea what to do with your freedom.

No... you don't get it... I am on your side..... I am just showing how ridiculous it is that he felt he had to give up all his personal info....

How many of you guys remember the good old days.:( When you purchased a fire arm you had to send your original FAC to the seller. I always lost my first new one.;) If you are the purchaser and are having the unit sent to you, there goes your secret squirrel address. If you are paying buy mail there it goes again. The reasons there is no address on the reg. cert., cost and time. Once again in the bad old days your green slip had everything but short size on it. Just commenting on the bad old days. I have not read every post in here so I do not know if this question has been asked. All other questions/answers will be moot the first time you get pulled over with your RFB while hunting or transporting it.:( Just a thought. Life is better with no registry but it may be more interesting.

PS

I can remember the days when I did not have to register my FA stuff.

Looks to me like Wrong Way, Blaxsun, and a few others are on my permanrnt ok to do business with list. Norincodude, I am truly sorry that you just dont seem to get it. The onus is on the buyer to be licensed so we dont need the Nannies or to send a ton of sensitive info over the internet. With the amount of ass covering and due dilligence people seem to do on this sight, its amazing they have time to do anything else.
