Wolverine's WK181-C...

Well, sure, you CAN use 7.62x39 in a DMR-purposed rifle.... doesn't mean it's a good idea!!

Back on topic... when are we going to see the freaking WK181's??

Yea, I'm getting antsy too.

I'm guessing they are focusing on the wk180 moreso at the moment but I'm hoping they can start rolling out the 181s relatively soon. Would be nice to have one for summer!

Also the notion that x39 can't be used for a "dmr" is internet drivel. They are more than good enough to take down medium game inside 500m if the shooter is skilled and practiced. Past that you would want something more ballistically capable.

I talked to Wolverine a week or so about a different order and happened to ask about this. Apparently the demand for the 180 is still quite high so they are focusing on that production before the 181.

The pre-orders for the 180 arent evil filled yet. Theyll want to start supllying dealers once thats done. Then they have to actually start producing 181s, alongside 180s.
I wouldnt expect to see them til next year.

Never said you can't.... just that there are MUCH better options.

I'm sure Wolverine can elaborate, but I imagine the WK181-C is on hold until Kodiak catches up on Wolverine's pre-order backlog for the WK180-C, and until they finish replacing any recalled bolt control groups that need it. I suspect they will give a brief notice on starting the WK181-C production, but do no pre-orders. They may give first dibs to those who pre-ordered the 180 buying a 181 as they come in, but that would be up to Wolverine.
