Would You Carry A Pocket Pistol?

Those pocket pistols were the best they had BACK THEN for small / concealable handguns. There are much better options now in better calibres than .25 / .32ACP. Of course this is a moot point seeing as we do not have CCW in Canada.

Functionally I think small pocket pistols in today's world would have a very niche market (extreme UC work maybe???) as the selection of compact .380's and bigger etc would be much better suited for minimal size day to day carry in a holster or purse.

After some thought, I've changed my first choice. I'll go with my 686 6 inch barrel.... Might as well not be out gunned..:) And why is the CC where it's at,why not OC?

Yes if ALL PROHIB's were suddenly up for grabs and the law was changed to FORCE the issuance of ATC's for civilians for self defence??? The illusive Glock 18C would certainly get a lot of love from the likes of me!!!! I'm still debating about a backup firearm (2 is one, one? though technically better than nothing at all? is none) but maybe the HK P9S. Or maybe a Walther PPK. I'm still debating of course.

If the opportunity did arise to have the ability to have CCW, my preference would be a short barrelled revolver in 44. magnum preference is S&W....classic....

I have a hard enough time getting my keys outta my pocket to ever want to carry a pocket pistol.

Now, Open carry.. I'd need to learn to use a holster properly, and get LOTS of practice in before I'd want to OC.

I'd carry a small pistol if allowed AND if calibres like .32 were allowed .
Other then that I'd gladly carry a medium sized gun like a Browning Bda in .380 , or something like that in 9mm .

and i'm sure all the innocent bystanders would love that too

I've legally carried before...... snubbie wheelguns in .38 Spl & a couple different models of Glock in .40 cal.

If I could legally carry again, it wouldn't be a 'pocket gun' like a Browning Baby in .25 ACP.

I think a J-frame is as pocket as I'd ever get.

I've spent plenty of time in places where carry was a legal option. I think weighing your risks and being rational about your threat level is smart. I also think that if you aren't fairly proficient and disciplined about when and how to employ a gun, you have no business carrying.

Yeah, looking right at you, Zimmerman.

I agree 100 percent. So if anyone wants a refresher? I'll leave this here.
