Would you consider bringing in Norinco 97 bullpups? (Part Deux)

At a $800ish ticket price, would you buy a 97A bullpup?

I really like the looks of the 9mm SMG police (exportable) model. It has the hand guard style trigger guard. I guess the regular one is OK especially for a bigger rifle. For the smaller carbines, SMG etc I like the build in vertical grip.

By the way Can Am if you guys get the 9mm in let me know. I'm very interested.

So I'm channel surfing and guess what I see a Norinco Type 97 on TV. Spike TV was showing that awful Voyager star trek garbage. Well, they have a bunch of freedom fighter types on the planet with Type 97 rifles. Instantly caught my eye.

Hey, wake up!!!

Does it work ? If yes then how much so I can compare with what a "modern" scope of similar lenght and tube width would cost ? (which in the end would be the same thing minus the fancy schpansy company logo)....

The scope looks like it was dug out from the cold war storage from the 60's!

Ahhh a fake Type 97.

I feel tricked. I watched the first 8 minutes of that crap show just because of the firearm.

The Muzzlelite stock came out in the early 80s. Incidentally, it is the accessory they banned and everyone thought it meant all bullpups. I think it is fairly obvious the Chinese got their styling from that stock.

Also used a lot by Arnold Schwarzenegger as Douglas Quaid in Total Recall.

Hey Deckard,
I think we need a "Would you consider brining in a Norinco JS 9mm SMG" thread.

As much as I really like the Type 97 and will be ordering one, I think this little number would be a ton of fun at the range. Plus you can shoot it indoors during the winter, or on the pistol range.

I was going to start one, but I seem to have forgotten my photobucket password. Apparently I've also tried to guess to many times. So once I get that figured out I'll give it a try.

Just seems to me since the MP5 is prohibited, and the FN PS-90, HK MP7 etc made of the famous Unobtanium that this might be the ticket. Especially if it's cheaper than an AR conversion.

Remembering the good old days

Oh well, it's not like Lector doesn't bug me. :D

I'm challenging you to bring even one single Type 97 in Canada.
And you know what, forget $800, bring it at any price,
just to prove you can.

As I said many times, if anybody could bring T97 in Canada,
they would have done so long time ago
and without ridiculous confirmation questions on the net.

Money talks, bullshyte walks
(old chinese proverb).
