Ok guys since these are my first handguns what should I get for them? I know theres not much to do with them or get for them, but there must be some stuff. I picked up 2 combo trigger locks, 2 packs of 9mm snap caps, 2 boxes of ammo, and im deciding between the PLANO two pistol/accessory case, or a pelican case. Anything else you guys can think of? dont really care if ill use it or not since my dad is picking up the bill for the pistols and the accessories, since these are my first handguns. (which doesnt make sense since he hates firearms, maybe Im starting to get at him about him, finally maybe another shooter in the family)

Hell...if your Dad is picking up the tab.............tell you NEED an couple more for spare parts....:dancingbanana:

Mine showed up today. I thought only one was in the box at the post office, but they were 2 of them stuffed in the chewy bar box when I got home.

After about 3 hours of de-greasing, cleaning and re-oiling them they are a lot slicker than when I started. I'm happy so far. I also smoothed out the burrs in the feeding ramp with a blue rubber dremel polisher. It's like a mirror now.

My registration cards haven't showed up yet, just my ATT and my Transfer Notification for the both of them.

After I read more on here, I know to call them and get the certificates emailed back to me before I go.

Thanks,

Ryan

just got mine today. Impressed with fit & finish, & trigger is good. will shoot this weekend- if it functions OK will order another
ran 100 + rounds factory 125grs and 147grs, medium and hot 125gr handloads, 147gr handloads. the gun ate them all without a hitch :D except for the odd stovepipe on the last round. gun tended to shoot 6" right with the 125s. hopefully the rear sight can be adjusted leftward without too much hassle.

#2 ordered :D

I ordered 2 today. They will hold for me until I get my RPAL #. And who knows how long that'll take. Almost 3 weeks since I passed my exams. Still waiting for the forms to come back.

I recieved #3 yesterday...... now I need to decide if I will sandblast it and paint it fire engine red, or if I just sand it the old fasioned way..... sand blasting I think might leave it too rough

Quick Question

Ok all I have a silly question.

All told I have recieved 7, M-213s....... I only kept 2 the rest were for others at my local club and for a few friends.

Of all of the 213s I have recieved 2 of them only came with 1 mag...... the rest came with 2........

Has anybody else had the same experiance, only one mag in the package???

well I sold a car......and was gonna buy a quad, but wife said not yet.....so I accidentally ordered 2.Im looking forward to trying them out.

on a different note....I have been shooting 22 for quite a while, and had gotten use to it being quiet....Holy crap my 45 is loud....ringing?????? any ideas on a good earplug?

No, I got 2 mags for each (2) pistol I ordered.

You should re-load

I agree and I don't even have my license yet.

I thought my cousin was insane when he stocked 2k of ammo. We burned all that within a week. However, we went shooting almost everyday. He was waiting for me to come visit him in Cali.

Ammo sure does at up if someone shoots a lot. In the long run, the gun itself is really cheap, even if it's $1k. I'm considering reloading 9mm but I don't know if savings is that good. May just end up shooting more rounds for the same amount of $$$ spent buying factory. Still good if savings is significant and I get to shoot more. :)

Got two SKS-rifles (Tula) recently and love the way they performs so decided I "needed" a Russian pistol too but alas the real thing (Tokarev) is out of my budget. This Norinco 213 isn't and ordered one today. Can't wait to try it out at the range.
If you are going through 2K rounds in a week, you should definitely consider re-loading. My cost for loading 1,000 rounds (9mm) is less than $135 (includes primers, powder, lead heads). Compare that to the cost for factory loads. The difference is significant!
In addition, the money saved has made my firearms purchases, events that can be repeated often.

WOO HOO! ! ! ! !

They are HERE ! My two grease blobs arrived today!

Cleaned one already and immediately saw the problem that causes the difficulty in racking the slide with the hammer not pre-cocked. The heel just below the back end of the firing pin is WAY too squared. I filed and stoned one of mine to better resemble the sort of heel radius found on my other semis and it was a huge improvement right off the bat. Other than this just a good cleaning and an overall dubbing off of the razor like edges so I don't cut myself.

I'm off to the range to try it out right now. Quickie report later tonight.

Just got in. Shot around 70 rounds out of the one Norc I took along. The other is still in its preservative bath. The first magazine was all low and to the left by about 4 inches at 8 yards. One of the range guys came up and tried it with the first shot from the second mag and wouldn't you know it. Just a hair above center. Talk about feeling small :D From that point on all my own shots were fine too. I guess the barrel or the barrel seating in the slide took a few little shocks to bed in or something. For the next target I did all my shooting at more around 12 to 13 yards and from there it managed mostly 4 inch groups with a couple of 3 inch groups. Not bad for my old guy eyes and nerves. About the same as I get from my CZ Shadow for the most part unless I really buckle down.

Trigger pull is heavy but not stupidly so. But that'll be one of the first things I'll be tackling in the weeks ahead. The trigger pull was a bit gritty at first but soon smoothed up. It was REALLY gritty as it came out of the box but I cleaned the assembly before taking it out tonight and that helped a lot. I think with a bit of work this puppy will really come out quite nicely.

Something has to be done with the safety since it's digging into the web of my shooting hand. Not sure what yet but complete removal is not an option since I'm hoping to use the Norc in some IDPA shooting at some point rather than try to lighten up my CZ.

Hand grip fit for my large hands is a bit sketchy but it's not bad at all. My thumbs want to rest on the slide or slide release so I had to make a bit of effort to get the strong hand thumb up onto the back of the support hand. The support hand thumb rested nicely along the frame touching lightly. It's definetly a compact grip made for generally smaller asian hands. I like the idea of making up some Tokegypt grips. I'd make them slightly extended as well to better support the pinky. Of course this would mean making up some extended magazine bases as well. I'll have to check the IDPA rules on that aspect.

Two minor problems came up. One is that my right hand thumb kept moving the safety to a mid position which neutralized the hammer. The other is the magazine release. The catch is sticking out a bit too much so magazines need to be helped in by slightly pushing the release. And on ejection it takes a really firm push that sinks the release button fully. A bit of stoning on the catch to lower its profile inside the magwell should fix that. And the safety lever being reworked should deal with the other issue.

So far I'm ecstatic with the purchase. It's actually a sweet shooter as it comes and with some fixes it should become even better.

Mine are both of the style that does not have the Norinco emblem stamped in the left hand side of the slide. And on the other side there's just some silvered code numbers. I'm not sure it even says "made in China" on it at all. I'll have to check tomorrow.

I'll start a new thread to display the work I did so far and to cover the other work described above in the next day or two. And yes it will be picture heavy.... :D

two of my three were great. shot 300 or so rounds a few FTE's but nothing hard to fix. the third had the pin which holds the extractor, slide up and let the extractor fly out of the gun. found it easy enough, but never found the spring. called can-am, and he sent me one for free. recieved it yesterday, approx 5 days later. excellent service and many trhanks to CAN-AM

I have had a Tok 7.62 for ages and love it... it really does grow on you over time! I have been waiting for Marstar to offer the 9mm barrel for ages so I can use the gun in 9mm, but then I saw CanAm's $99.00 specials! I am now going to have a whole gun for less than the cost of the 9mm barrel! I look forward to shooting my 7.62 Tok in 9mm.

I made a mistake with the on-line order form and ordered 2 rather than one. Decided what the hell! Both shoudl be in my rural post office box any day now! Who Hoo!
