order date Dec. 26 emails and phone calls and still waiting, pissed off not really I feel for them and the volume they have to deal with just disapointed that people with Jan orders have already recieved and shot theirs and my order finally shows its processed
Hey don't worry, I ordered on December 18th and I am still queude. I sent an e-mail yesterday to Canam to ask if there was a problem and/or if I could help with anything.
I think it may be the Quebec CFO's fault as I am still waiting on my range ATT renewal. I changed ranges January 1st, but sent in my ATT request around Christmas.
Oh well, it will just be a little warmer when I get it!
On a different note, I am glad to see some good range reports and positive feed back on these little buggars. Keep posting pics guys, it's appreciated.

Funny, all I shot was 147gr without any issues?!?!
were your 147's this shape?
or were they the more traditional...

anyway, I got to put a few rounds through it today, and it shoots more accurately than my S&W MP9, although my fingertip feels bruised from the trigger having no give to it with the recoil. using 124 grain, I didnt have a single issue shooting 80 rounds

I had posted earlier in the thread that I tore mine down and was practicing my refinishing skills before shooting. Here is the final result, more or less. Still have to make the second grip but this was my first crack at checkering and turned out pretty good for a first go at it. My bluing skills could improve somewhat but good enough for this one. The trigger now works smoothly, mags drop out at the push of the release, can rack the slide by hand (although still somewhat stiff). I filed/polished/sanded out all the machining marks and edges, removed the micro ribbing on top of the slide, skeletonized the trigger, smoothed the feed ramp, cleaned up the mag well, and reblued as well as making the new grips. Has been a fun and educational project, just hope it shoots well now.

Took the $99 wonder to the range and shot it at 15 yards (2 hands) and also shot a Tokarev 7.62x25. Both shot about the same size group. The Norinco will need the rear sight drifted a little bit. The grips are surprisingly comfortable.
The 9mm ammo was loaded with a 125 grain cast bullet. It functioned 100%.
When I stripped it I noted that the firing pin channel is quite long and was full of rust oil. I washed all parts in varsol. That might help the ignition.

Where did you get the wooden grips for the above pic's?? Are you handy with wood or?? Looks nice.
I read previous post again stating you made them, could you give a brief overview of how you made the grips ( for the woodworking impaired).
Curious about the skeleton job on the trigger too. How much finesse was involved in that.

SG101, the grips I made myself, just picked up some standard walnut at the local lumberyard, planed down the thickness, traced around the old grip, cut it out and went at it with a small hand plane, sandpaper, and my newly aquired checkering file that I have been wanting to try out. Takes some time but not that hard. The drilling of the trigger was tough, they use good hardened steel in that thing. As far as doing it I just marked where I wanted the holes, drilled with a small bit, then enlarged to the desired size, then chamfered both sides with a large bit. sanded it all smooth then reblued. As far as finesse with any of it goes not that much, did it all at the kitchen table, I am just very patient....lol
