It's nice that it closes up the right side a bit (there than ejection port) and left side charging is nice for reloads but I wish they would've closed up the left side, left the charging handle on the right and had the folding cover that closed up the charging handle slot like the original AR-18. It's nice that as it is, it's more closed up than the WK but you can still see right into the trigger assembly.
I stripped mine down tonight as I was putting a new optic on it that I'll be zeroing tomorrow so figured I'd clean it. I cleaned it when new, again after it's first 100 rds and now at 700rds.
Observations:
-the gas block gas screw has been contacting the handguard at times, there is a worn spot on top of it that matches a wear spot in the handguard. I would imagine this is affecting accuracy, despite the accuracy being respectable (<2moa with bulk ammo, <1.5moa with 75gr handloads)
-the gas block gas screw was "carbon-locked" on pretty good
-decent amount of carbon buildup in the gas block, on the piston and on the barrel around the gas vents but function hadn't been affected
-the upper receiver, bolt, bolt carrier were all rather clean
