WTF!? why so many XCR for sale?

I don't think anyone's mentioned the real reason these guns are seeking new homes.

I can see it only being one of two things, either they are sick of parts falling off the gun or they are worried and are anticipating a change in status which would completely kill the reason for an XCR and its end value.

Many times I wanted to buy its predecessor, but with its reliability ratings there didnt seem much point.

Your opinion and decision to disagree does nothing to discredit the LOGIC involved with misanthropists' post. I don't need to hold stocks in gold to understand their value is climbing. Nor do I need to drive a Toyota to know their sticky gas pedal has had a negative impact on sales.

TDC

I'm not trying to discredit someones logic...everyone is entitled to an opinion. I do believe someone who owns the rifle and has "bush experience" as you put it will be able to offer information that someone like you cant...
Your total contribution to this thread has been squat.. You are creeping around looking to argue...Your origional post on here was not on topic and you are still posting garbage that is irrelivant to this discussion...Your anology of gold and Toyota is very kindergarten and I'm not going to bother with it.
Have I pissed you off yet :)

Sticking with the original question. Mines not for sale and I hope I never have to, although I have considered it, but not to buy any other gun.

I have about 10 000 money gobbling hobbies that I can't afford. Last week I was thinking of selling it to help buy one of my old mud boggers back, I managed to get the money together. Right now I'm thinking about selling or trading my sled to a friends for tires and cash for that truck.

I think there's 3 major reasons for selling the xcr. It's a big chunk of cash when you need money, some people just keep buying and selling for the next newest thing, selling to prepay for the xcr-m.

It is funny how it's always xcr vs AR. Why is it one brand compared to ALL AR's? Why not xcr vs bushmaster, LMT, norinco, olympic, Daniel defence, colt armalite or any of the dozen of ther brands? Even add the rfb, tavor, and Swiss to the list, Shurley the xcr would place decently amoung them. Alot of AR guys single out xcr's flaws the same way civic guys battle Volkswagen drivers. It's just silly. Then there's the braggers, they have a preconceived amount of money you should spend on a gun to be cool, what accesories it needs to be cool.
They say things like " for the price of an xcr I can get a cheap AR, 10 mags, 1000 rounds, red dot and a forward grip" who cares?

My gun runs flawless unlike the only 2 AR's I've handled. So so far me and my xcr are 1win vs 2 fails. Flawless function and non resticted status makes it with the extra loot.

I own an XCR-L with two complete uppers in 223 & 6.8 SPC I hunt with this rifle far more than I take it to the range basically range work is to work up loads and sight in other than that I'm in the bush with it.

I am thinking about selling the 223 upper and it's five 10 round LAR mags due to I find any 223 anemic for even coyote hunting the 6.8spc can do everything it can and everything it can't so having over $1500.00 tied up in an upper + a scope when I could put that money towards another rifle is pulling on me to sell it.

Now if RA released an XCR-L barrel conversion in a 30 cal - 458 SOCOM and I have been pushing them hard for something I would only be selling the 223 barrel conversion kit.

I am also thinking about selling my LNIB Rem 700 LSS in 30-06 that I had Guntech shortened to 20" for heavy bush hunting the plan is to take the money from the upper and the 30-06 and purchase an XCR-M when it is released.

and FYI when I look in the EE I see a lot of bolt action 30-06 rifles for sale at any given time hmmm I wonder why...

and I can't stand the sound of an AR recoil spring drives me nuts when I shoot them and the XCR is the only black rifle that I like the look/feel of...

I love my XCR-L but migh sell it and get XCR-M in 243 Win or 7mm-08 Rem!
The AR-15 being restricted it can't possibly be a factor in XCR-L sales.

i wouldnt worry or think to much about a crap load of xcr's being for sale all at once. i dont think it means anything at all. i noticed that firearms seem to sell in gluts alot on the EE. for instance when i picked up my tavor a month back there was a glut of them on the EE for sale. i had 4 of them on 2 page to choose from. at that time i had never seen anymore then 1 maybe very rarely 2 for sale at once and they always sold very quick. give it a month and XCR's will not be so numerous on the EE. I sure at that time there will be another rifle taking its place as the WTF is so many of this type of rifle up for sale at once on the EE.

So you know...? How can you know the reasons for X amount of people? Please share...

Because I'm hopped up on Benylin and have had a cosmic insight.

IMO, the majority of guns bought in Canada are a fashion statement. They rarely see much use, even rarer they see hard use. So, the really important factor in firearms selection is appearance.

I think XCR owner have just realized how unattractive their rifles are and are moving on.

* NOTE * Don't forget to remember you have a sense of humour. We're just talking about a rifle, for Pete's sake.

Same reason we all sell guns, to replace it with something new or get some cash. I don't think anything can really be read into it...

That may be true for some people but every gun I own I shoot at least 2 twice a week.

Well in all fairness, XCR owners are very proud and argue to the death about how good their XCR's are. One can't help but wonder why they're all of a sudden unloading them...

Doesnt everyone think what they have is the best? If you didnt how can a person justify spending the money on a product that they dont like. Its the same Ford, Chev, Dodge argument and you will always have loyalists in every camp...I cant say one bad thing about my XCR its been reliable, accurate and I like the looks of it to....If it were a piece of junk it would have been gone long ago..Unless you like the BP type rifle its the closest thing to a military rifle you can use to shoot gophers with...If I had to pick only one 223 to keep it would be the XCR hands down...The only way it would be listed on the EE is if something else cought my attention and I couldnt afford to have bolth..

The EE is a odd thing sometimes...I was shopping for SIGs and nothing was around so I paid premium money to get what I wanted...The last few weeks there has been tons of them for sale JMO

I like my XCR and won't be selling. I have a real need for non-restricted rifles as I have more than one residence and by having non-restricted rifles I can leave them at another location other than my CFC registered address, thus not have to be lugging rifles with me everywhere I go. I think the XCR is a fine rifle and I have made some nice groups with it. It serves well in service rifle competitions and it's ruggedness makes it a great caribou hunting gun with the 6.8 cartridge.

In pot we trust - stir we must! :stirthepot2:
Mabye the price of loctite has gone up! :D
Haha... ha:

I don't necessarily think there's any "trend" per-say, but I do wonder if some aren't planning to switch over to the Kel-Tec RFB.
