I love the skeleton stock. How does it feel to shoot? I am thinking of replacing my fast stock with one.

Thanx for posting! I was wondering what that optic looked like on a xcr. How do you like it?

It's really nice piece of glass, bright and sharp. Acquisition is quick, and the green chevron is simple and unintrusive. I didn't want any delicate "boutique" items on the rifle, so the ACOG was a pretty easy decision.

Wikid! Ive never seen one in person, is there a reticle etched into it incase of low/no light conditions? Its not dependant on the illuminated reticle?

The reticle itself is illuminated by the radioactive decay of tritium. The fiber optic simply collects light to increase the brightness of the reticle in the daytime. No batteries, no maintenance, always on. IIRC, the tritium is supposed to last about 12 years or so before it starts to fade.

I much prefer it over the FAST for weak hand-supported shooting. I also greatly prefer the aesthetics.

I like the folder over the fixed for the simple fact that it allows the rifle to fit into my 5.11 36" soft rifle cases (wish I'd measured more of my guns before making that decision...), otherwise the fixed stock is perfect. It's not hard to see why Robarm went away from the folder as it's not terribly well designed. Too loose when open and nothing to hold it closed aside from friction of the hinge mechanism. If they combined the tube folder with the hinge from the FAST it would be perfect.

They eliminated the folder?? That is news to me....

Exactly!!!! Its a Battle rifle designed to hit a human sized target. Not a competition target shooter here. Why do people keep ragging on it for that. It does what it was designed to do very well! Mine is 2 moa with good ammo off a bench at best. Whats not to love?

We are correct.
Show me five, 5 round groups on the same sheet of paper (at 100 yards :) ), and I'll show you a disappointed xcr owner...

Satisfied XCR owner checking in. The only thing that needs improvement on this setup is the guy behind the rifle.

Given that I was very specifically discussing tube style stocks in the post you quoted I would have thought it to be obvious what I was referring to. Or are you just trying to argue semantics?

In your post you mentioned "It's not hard to see why Robarm went away from the folder as it's not terribly well designed." They never went away from a folder, tube or FAST, and that is what I was responding too. That is all.
