The heart of the Remington and Bushmaster are the same. Identical operating systems, one is military/law enforcement and the other is civilian.
Some day that forend will be available to us lowly peasants.

Luckily for us the lowers are different, if they weren't both models would be prohib to civilians.
I think the new DMR version is going to be a tank and just because they put a heavier profile barrel doesn't mean it's going to be a sniper rifle. I prefer my light weight non restricted conversion. I have no interest in the new one.
