Would you like to see a bunch of 6.8s hit the Canadian market?

Terra, instead of doing a weld on the Canadian XCR's would it be possible to put a unwelded thread cap on and let us install our own "Muzzle Brakes" up here and still meet State dep't export reg's. I like to replace mine regularly so you may want to have John stock lots of flashhiders as spare parts, I mean "Muzzle Break's".

Just a thought.

I have the old gas block on my xcr. I'm not gonna change it. I left it on settting 4, and it chucks the brass far enough downrange that I don't have to go pick it up :D

Okay, I make knives, and wouldn't welding a flash hider to the muzzle of a barrel screw the heat treat up and be a safety issue?
It might be an idea to point this out to the State Duhpartment.
They may let the next shipment go through just pinned without the welds.

well, as long as we've been shipping the XCRs to Canada the department has required a muzzle brake be put on them. It was only the last shipment (or maybe the last two?) that they made us permanently attach them on. If you're worried yours might be, look for a weld mark on the bottom of your muzzle brake. It might be very slight - but you should still be able to tell.

Throttle - you need to turn your gas down. Especially if you're past break in. You're overcycling your rifle by using it on 4, and that recoil buffer will end up getting shopped up. ;)

What serial numbers use the old system? Thanks:)

Can't just tell by the serial #. The old style requires you adjust it with a tool. The new one is hand-adjustable (note to all: Don't try to turn the dial with your fingers after dumping 500 rounds through the rifle :runaway:)

Here's an example of the new style:

It's not a "necessary" upgrade. It's more convenient and that's why people like them.

Terra the reason I asked is I have a Sig mosquito from the states that is threaded with a thread protector and it has not been an issue in the past. Thought it might be ok with the rifle. Also many precision rifle's and barrels come up threaded some with "muzzle breaks" unwelded.......just a loophole that may or may not work for you.

Thread protector

AR-15 birdcage flash hider threads on no prob's with adaptor.........just done for an example as the threading is the same. No I don't leave it on my Mosquito before anyone ask's:D.

we have parts on order. We're going to ship a small amount as kits. 20-30 of them. The rest will be standardized in the rifles. After the first shipment, they will be sold as kits. We will make sure to ship some in kits to Wolverine on the second batch. :)

Damn this rifle is a fine piece of engineering.
Robinson didn't miss a thing.

What if the Liberals passed a bad law and millions ignored it?
They'd have to give an amnesty, and keep extending the deadline wouldn't they?
Hmmm.

I've just ordered 6.8 reloading dies.
I won't get them until July.
About the only industry's not tanking since Odumbo got in, are the firearms and ammo industry's.
Of course that is totally unintentional, and I'm sure he'll do his best to put a stop to it..

We should get 2600 fps easy with reloads.
Now to stock up on bullets and powder.
I think this is going to be a sweet little cartridge.
