yes another xcr question

some people just love to argue and are negative about everything and thats what makes them happy nothing you will say will convince them otherwise I would just move on,and I learned not to believe half what you hear on the internet. It is also true that lots of the negative comments you here are from guys that have never owned the gun in the first place. When I bought my xcr m it looked like a quality built rifle when I look at a tavor I can't see how they can charge $2800.00 just to much plastic.

Quite a few opinions from owners on some AR forums. The vast majority of peeps seem super positive about their experiences with the XCR.

Again, if we took a poll of people who actually owned one at one time or other, the stat would be overwhelmingly in favour of the XCR. Three or four haters show up in every thread and derail it, its not representative in any way.
how is someone who had a legitimate problem a "hater"? For example, you don't see me posting "hater" if someone says they had an early model HK SL8 that the reciever cracked on, that is a legitimate problem that HK resolved with a design upgrade and warranty to anyone with the problem, even though mine has been flawless.

There are ongoing problems with the XCR, it is fact as the people with problems on older and recent models alike have posted here and they are very similar issues. To you 1 in a hundred or 1 in a thousand unhappy customers with non functioning rifles may be acceptable but that does not make those people "haters" for telling their experience.

I got a used one from EE, almost two years ago now, I am over 1000 rounds without a hiccup. She is all dressed up with magpul goodies and an eotech and always comes along for the shooting trips..:) Would buy one again. Never seen any locktite yet.

ive got an xcr-L in .223 with an aimpoint pro on it and love it....tons of fun

i'm actually putting it up for sale if anyone is interested (need the money more than i need the gun)

I bought a new XCR L in 223 the other day. Read the manual and took it to the range. Put 50 rounds through it before I adjusted the gas valve. I could not notice any difference between setting 1 and 4. The rifle functioned flawlessly. My only concern is accuracy. At 200 yds I could only get a 6-7" group with federal premium 55 gr ammo. Just wondering what kind of accuracy you guys are getting?

I get much better than that. What optic are you using. At 200 yards, my Aimpoint or Eotech will get similar results. At that range, a 9+ magnification is very helpful.

I have a vortex viper Hs 2.5-10x44 on it. I am pretty disappointed a's my AR with bulk 55gr fmj's will shoot 21/2" 10 shot groups at the same distance.

I would check all the mounting screws to make sure nothing is loose. Your results are not representative of those achieved by other XCR-L owners. I have an AR-15 also but my XCR-L out performs it at 200 yards with the right ammo. I get my best results with 55gr VMAX & 23gr of H233 powder. At 100 yards, I consistantly achieve 1.5" groups.
