You buying the new SKS-15?

I'll consider a chassis if and when they are available separate. Now, if an AK pistol were to appear (a true one that allows 10rd mags), then no.

Idle hands are the Devil's play thing...

Why?

Because some people just can't leave sh¡t alone.

Forever tinkering and modding. It's an affliction.

They're delusional and stubborn in their thought that their abilities somehow benefit or catapult the design into excellence.

All from inside their garage/basement/office.

In the end, what they really need is a good :slap:

granted the accuracy would have been upgraded with a fitted new barrel I would have said yes... it's like any other new firearm but using sks action. but having the same #### as the good ol' red rifle with tacticool chassis is a waste IMO.

the weight reduction is not worth the price... gimme better accuracy and now I'll show some money tho.

You can gold plate a turd, and there will always be someone who calls it a crown jewel. Your post is proof of this.

So is an SKS Purist the same as someone who believes a new paint job on a Volkswagen will not make it faster or run better?

Depending on the mods, you can make an SKS a much more ergonomic rifle to shoot though..., which in turn can potentially make the gun faster and more effective. Increasing its accuracy, most likely not, but then again, I've yet to own an SKS that shoot worse than the average first gen XCR... And yet people blow $1000 s on assesorys for those.

We'll be carrying it as will many other dealers. It's well made and fills a non restricted semi auto price point now that VZ58 costs have gone up. I've already had 11 people pm me asking to order one so I don't think sales will be an issue.

Is it for everyone, no it isn't but it fills a void in the market for people that want a quality pimped out sks.

I know people will buy it, but the vast majority won't. Getting a beat up SKS and adding $200 worth of mods = $850. Numbers don't add up to me, looks like the manufacturer is looking for suckers to jump on it. For $499, more people would jump on it, at the current price point I'm not the least bit interested. It's just a cut down SKS barrelled action in a chassis, made for detachable mags, nothing more.

This company might get a lot of sales if they just release the kit to do this to the SKS at a reasonable price, but I can't see this taking off in any large way at this pricing.

I think it looks awesome, kinda the feel of a poor man's VZ but hey we aren't all rich...i like both stock and tacticooled sks.....if the initial range reports are good, i'd put it on my list, when the sabertooth stock and all the other options that have come out and people complained it don't take ak mags or don't take xcr mags....well here is your answer..sure you can get a mag adaptered sks for 650$ but the ease of stock options , options with pistol grip...monolithic rail, cut barrel and threaded with xcr mags,,, sounds like they are trying to make everyone happy !... great job i hope to get one one day

sure you can get a mag adaptered sks for 650$

You can buy an SKS for $200 at CT and a Tapco mag for $30, with a little tinkering there's your mag fed SKS. I know the same company brought a bunch of really expensive SKS's to the market with a mag and added $300+ to the price. Wonder if anyone bought one?

Sadly., I think we may have those before we have a true AK pistol. Maybe, if the chassis is available by itself, I'll consider it. I'd rather AK mags though.
While you're at it why don't you wait until we can conceal carry and have suppressors before making any purchase?

can you question the manufacturer if they have plans for a version that uses AK mags? North sylva is not replying in their section

I'm just happy they are keeping the rifle alive insuring that 7.62x39mm will be a calibre here to stay in Canada given its popularity as an affordable sporting and target round for the range. Personally I like my SKS pigs. Mine are areal stock that will occasionally dress up with scope/red dot hoods for holidays.
