You can keep only one

What kind of perversion is this thinking from the OP?:evil:...Its like asking a father "if you could only keep one of your kids..."

...but if I haaaad to choose:redface:, it would be my RugerSR1911 (stainless, and I got lucky with a solid one), because its a beast with heft to it and I shoot it very well.

My Glock always goes bang but its just not as nice and I can only have one right?:confused:


I'd defiantly have shelve my $170 Norinco (calling BC? {joke}) nice gun now that the work is done, but a Ruger it ain't.

I am just curious about which handgun people value. I did not want a brag thread where people show off their most exotic firearm. I am more interested in their "one".

Lots of interesting results, from sentiment to reliability. I am also impressed to see the amount of 1911 variants and revolvers which are my favorites as well... but of all my handguns, its the smith 586-8 6".

If I could only pick one handgun, it would be a 45ACP. I also have a Spartan and a SIG 220.
I'd take the Norinco over these two, all day long! No contest.
Norc is more reliable than the Spartan, and it feels better than the SIG.
 
Damn Tough Question!

I love my 1911, S&W 586 and Uberti SAA in 357. I am very partial to the #### and shoot aspects and the 586 is waaay to sensitive in that department, mind you the cylinder flips out for very quick reloading.

Nope, I'm gonna settle on my Uberti with a 5.5 barrel.

X2. I bought my first handgun on my 18th birthday (I'm 55 now). At one point I had 40 plus handguns in the safe .Lately I have been carefully weeding out and buying the handguns that I feel would make the perfect (for me) collection for both shooting and looking at. I'm down to 12, and I think I still need a couple more. I am expecting an HKp30L today, and we'll see if it makes the final cut:evil:

I wasn't sure... If it was a "I'm only allowed to keep one for my uses right now" then it would be a S&W 686... if it is more of a "you can only take one in a SHTF situation" then it would be a toss up between a S&W 617 and a Ruger SR9, probably the 617

Looks good. I have a somewhat similar set-up. A 5 1/2" Ruger old model Vaquero in 45 LC. The leather rig is a replica/copy of what John Wayne used in a number of films, made by a friend locally.



;)In keeping with the Marty Robins song 'Big Iron', the badge in the photo has been replaced with a replica Arizona Ranger badge:D.
