Once you see it in someone's hand you can really appreciate how compact and efficient it is size wise. It looks like a very well thought out design.

I figure now that the RFB's have been in private hands for a while, if there are going to be major issues we should have started hearing about them by now. Any reports of failures or other problems reported from the field?

ps. Even if there are issues reported, I'm not giving up my spot in on the waiting list. :)

Looks like a nice rifle and I would buy one if it was non-restricted, then again that don't mean nothing to the RCMP " Norinco T97"

+1, I would like to have one! A bullpup in 308 would make a nice compact big game rifle!

But, alas, there are new tactics being used in Canada to restrict access to "cool" firearms... The RCMP could decide to "pull the FRT #, & place it under review indefinitely..." Effectively, there is NO timeline that the RCMP have to comply to when they do this, it could go on FOREVER!!!

For those of you unaware of this new tactic, have a look around in Red Rifles for T97, it's truely eye opening news.

Cheers
Jay

Yup. The type 97s are under "review" indefinitely.

It disgusts me.

I still want an RFB and will buy one as soon as I can get one with a 19" barrel.

The RFB looks very cool.

Interesting in that one pic, its got a Bren Gun mag in it :?

I thought it was designed to use FAL mags, or is the "Bren L4" some code talk for a 30 round FAL mag?. Guess it dont matter anyways, they're all pinned at 5 :p

A British modernized Bren version took FAL type magazines.

ahhh okay, I understand now :D

I was aware of the 7.62 NATO Bren guns, I didn't know they used FAL type mags though.

I think this would be a cool gun to own, despite .308 being so expensive, it would make a great hunting rifle if it was NR.

A British modernized Bren version took FAL type magazines.

That would make sense. The L1A1 (Brit term for FN-FAL) would already be in use, so a calibre conversion of the Bren would require a mag change also, so have it use the same mag. (Or a longer version of the same)

The more I look at this thing, the more I like it.... Especially how the scope/picatinny rail is directly attached to the barrel for optimal zero holding...

19 inch gun would be pretty much perfect :D
