Your 2 cents on Norinco pistols

I own a Sig P226 copy and I love it. Haven't had to do a single thing to it and it shoots very well. Never had any feeding problems, no jams, no hang fire...

On the other hand, my Sig P226 needed some work over the years and I didn't shoot it any more than the NP.

Lots of pistol for the money.

For the record, I was just 'testing the waters' here with the AO post - which I will keep up there for amusement...

...tasers eh?...aboard the Gulfstream...hmm...does Norinco make tasers? (the kind with the flying hooks, preferrably, so that I don't have to get up off of the Corinthian leather couch too quickly and risk spilling my drink while I'm layin' the "shake & bake" on some Al-Quada radical who stowed away behind the bar, full of seething discontent...

...in fact, at Norinco prices, I can buy TWO tasers and double up on the action...two fisted to the very end...

...God I love this site! :)

Norinco makes tasers but they don't work that well unless you have Gunnar at Armco tune them up. Smooths the barbs, jacks the voltage, you know ........

I own 2 Norc Commanders, one from Armco (with LOTS of love) and one box stock. I've shot an incredible variety of pistols over the years, including Colts and Springfields (never shot an AO though). The Norc that I got from Gunnar (Armco) is one of the more accurate and reliable pistols I've shot, it's certainly as good as an out of the box Colt/Smith/Ruger/Springer/Glock/ you name it. Except it cost much much less, and I don't get paranoid over scratches. These guns are tremendous value for the money, and are actually made with better steel, are all forged and contain no MIM parts or castings. As the starting point for a build they are great, and if you want a GI Spec to shoot on occaision they're priced perfectly.

i have Norinco M93, there clone of the Colt Woodsman .22. for the amount i use it is a great a little gun, and pretty darn accurate. if i where able to get out shooting more then once every month or so, i would probably have something a little better, but for my uses she's a sweet little gun. just wish i could get a couple of quality magazines for it....

I've shot this pistol, and I must say, I'm quite impressed. Their 1911's are also pretty good, and I have noticed the newer models, especially the 1911C models are quite nice. For the price, yeowzers.

But for a first restricted I'd go Ruger MK III 22/45.
